Summary: | Babelan Sub-district is one of the areas in Bekasi Regency that is developing in the industrial and property sectors. However, there are various kinds of problems including flooding problems that caused by the overflow of the Bekasi River. The inundation of the flood that occurred ranged from 20-100 cm. These floods often hamper community activities and can cause physical and material losses. Therefore, a solution is needed that can reduce the floods that occur due to the overflow of the Bekasi River. Flood modelling and hydraulics analysis was conducted using HEC-RAS 6.5 software and design flood discharge with a return period of 20 years 559,79 m3/s. There are three alternative scenarios of the modeled solution, which is normalization, levee, and normalization + levee. With considering the effectiveness and cost of its construction, the alternative solution that chosen is normalization + levee. Normalization is carried out by widening the Bekasi River channel to a width of 40 meters and installation of sheet pile type levee. The total cost for normalization and installation of sheet pile type levee is Sixty Eight Billion Five Hundred Thirty Six Million Ninety Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Nine Rupiah. The combination of normalization and installation of sheet pile type levee is expected to be a solution to the flood problem in Babelan Regency due to the overflow of the Bekasi River.
