Summary: | Palembang LRT is the first light rail transportation system in Indonesia, and it has a traction substation as a source of driving power for LRT facilities. This study aims to propose an inspection policy for the Palembang LRT traction substation based on the analysis of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) values. The evaluation was carried out on critical sub-equipments, namely 750 V output DC cubicles, feeders, 20 kV AC MV switchgear, and power supply controllers (SCADA). The analysis results show that the sub-equipment has a high level of risk, but its current reliability and availability values have reached excellent criteria. Based on the research results, a policy proposal of inspection time interval with a target reliability value of 90.00% in 1 year is also submitted to ensure the smooth operation of the sub-equipment. In addition, the proposed total cost of inspecting critical sub-equipment in a year has a significant efficiency of 23.96%. FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) analysis is also proposed as a guide for personnel in minimizing risks by identifying potential failures before they occur and performing appropriate mitigation.
