Description
Summary:Geometric aspect of a unified large scale systematic mapping to be valid for the whole region Republic of Indonesia is a necessity for the Cadastral Base Map. The research deals with comparative study of map projection systems and quantitative analysis of linear errors in distance as a consequence of projection. Mercator Transverse Projection system with 3° zone width and scale factor in central meridian of 0,9999 indicatess that: 1. Linear errors can be tolerated for large scale mapping (1:1000), so can be proposed as an alternative for a necessity for the Cadastral Base Map. 2. Can be integrated to the projection and reference system of National Base Map (Universal Transverse Mercator projections).
