A simple 3D pore model and various types of sandstone were used as samples in this research. The Pore Network Modeling (PNM) method was utilized to extract 3D tomography images from sandstone rock samples and create a pore network model to calculate the coordination number. The Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) was then used to calculate the absolute permeability of the samples. The research findings demonstrate a strong relationship between permeability and coordination numbers in the rock samples, where larger coordination numbers correspond to higher permeability values. text |
