Description
Summary:This final project discusses the planning of the Jlantah Dam as a solution to the water problems faced by Karanganyar Regency and its surrounding areas. The region is experiencing a water crisis during the dry season, while the high population growth is also increasing the demand for water. The construction of the Jlantah Dam is considered an appropriate solution that serves several functions, including the provision of raw water and irrigation, renewable energy source, and flood control. Jlantah Dam is one of the megastructure projects whose safety must be guaranteed. Therefore, a spillway building is needed as a safety feature in the dam. Spillway has function to discharge excess water into the dam so that the water does not overflow through the top of the dam. The spillway building is designed as an ogee overflow type with a capacity of Q0.25PMF. In this final project, hydraulic calculations were carried out on the spillway structure starting from the apron, crest, transition channel, chute channel, stilling basin, and analysis of the stability of the spillway structure.
