The phenomenon of increasing population raises significant issues that affect human life. The growing demand for food, alongside population density in urban areas, results in reduced availability of land for agricultural purposes, necessitating innovative alternatives to meet these needs. In urban contexts, the issue of land scarcity contradicts the presence of underutilized buildings, particularly those with commercial functions. In Bogor City, Pasar Merdeka is a market experiencing underutilization, characterized by a dilapidated condition and incomplete occupancy, thereby wasting the market's potential in its strategic location. This project aims to revitalize Pasar Merdeka Bogor through a redevelopment approach aimed at transforming the market into a comfortable and multifunctional trading place, incorporating an Urban Farm. The approach involves transprogramming architecture and urban acupuncture to integrate various building functions and maximize the use of green spaces. The area is designed to be a commercial hub and community center supporting social life and mental health with sustainable design principles.
