Description
Summary:The West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort is a police station that comprises 8 districts and 56 sub-districts and has a Type B rank, indicating a higher workload than Type C and D police units. Despite the large workload, the current number of personnel is still insufficient. Therefore, optimal member performance and competent competency are essential for executing tasks. The public service satisfaction survey, which is considered one of the criteria for evaluating personnel performance, shows a decline in "Extremely Satisfied" ratings from 2022 to 2023. According to the head of the human resources department at the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort, training is significantly impacted the personnel's performance. In relation to this, the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort conducts public service training every year in the Specialist Development Program (Dikbangspes), but the survey results continue to decline. The study aims to identify what factors of training in the institution have a positive relationship on the public service training effectiveness at the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort. The study employs a quantitative approach to collect data from 70 participants in the Public Services Training Program, face validity with the expert to understand the program's implementation, and Spearman-Rho rank correlations to analyze the data. The results show a significant and positive relationship between training effectiveness and all independent variables, including training content, training environment, training schedule, facilities and materials, and presentation style. Thus, the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort should consider these training factors to lead to better-prepared personnel, increased public service training effectiveness, and overall enhanced organizational performance.
