Description
Summary:Design of an Eye Hospital with a Healing Environment Approach in Surabaya, East Java. Starting from the increase in individuals with visual impairments in Indonesia. Apart from the age factor, this condition is exacerbated by the development of the modern era which increasingly requires people to interact with the digital platform. In Indonesia, East Java Province occupies first position with the highest level of visual impairment. Apart from that, East Java also has the second largest elderly population after DI Yogyakarta province. However, the problem that occurs is the negative impression on hospital facilities in general caused by several conditions. This will then become a condition that will be resolved by designing the interior of the eye hospital with a healing environment approach so that it is hoped that the negative impression of the hospital will be reduced. The interior design process does not only focus on the well-being of patients, but also all hospital users in general. So it is hoped that this interior design can be in harmony with the existing conditions of society. The research method used is a mixed research method. By conducting literature studies, direct interviews, field observations at eye hospitals. With an eye hospital that also focuses on improving the well-being of its users through a healing environment, it is hoped that the impression of the hospital will be friendly to users and conditions of visual impairment can be detected as early as possible.
