The 2-D solution of hydrodynamic equation was carried out by using an explicit finite difference. The scheme used was McCormack method. The main land boundary condition was performed the characteristic method and mirror technique. The result shows that the splitting technique was better than the non-splitting technique, especially in term of iteration time and flow pattern, whereas the mirror technique give the best mass conservation. <br />

The 2-D sediment transport equation was solved using central difference, I order upwind, and QUICKEST. The splitting and non-splitting technique was also applied. The result shows that the QUICKEST method by splitting give the best solution. The ultimate scheme was used to evaluate the effect of the scheme, to the last result of QUICKEST method, and the result are satisfactory. The QUICKEST method with ultimate scheme together with splitting technique indicates the best solution. |
