Every aspect of this industry must operate safely to prevent failures. In upstream facilities, pipelines, and pressure vessels are subject to various failure mechanisms, with corrosion being one of the most common. Corrosion can lead to leaks and accidents, resulting in significant losses. However, this can be prevented through comprehensive inspection planning. This undergraduate thesis discusses the planning of inspection intervals and methods for equipment in the upstream facilities of the Santan field. Using fluid, inspection, and design data, inspection intervals are determined by comparing the probability of failure (PoF) analysis based on API RP 581 2016 edition and remaining life analysis according to API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, and re-evaluated using API 510, API 570, API Standard 653, and Ministry of ESDM Regulation No. 32 of 2021. Based on the damage identification and PoF results, appropriate inspection methods to reduce PoF can be selected. Additionally, a study on the impact of changes in process parameters on corrosion rate, remaining life, and PoF is conducted, considering their values are not constant over time, especially pressure. The analysis results indicate that the inspection interval for separator V-1102-B is at 4.7 years, V-1103-B at 10 years, and piping 133-B-8 at 3.1 years from the calculation, with inspection method effectiveness categories C, C, and A, respectively. With this planning, the probability of failure for V-1102-B decreases by 0.01%, V-1103-B decreases by 45%, and 133-B-8 decreases by 99.75%. Based on the study of process parameter changes, pressure changes have an insignificant impact on remaining life and PoF, with a maximum decrease of 0.05% and 0.0023%, respectively. text |
