Summary:A sustainable agriculture is a step taken in alleviating land limitations, the limited land in urban areas creates an increasing level of food consumption and is directly proportional to the large number of people in urban areas. Like farming on large open land, hydroponics also requires natural resources such as the sun to obtain energy for the photosynthesis process. Erratic weather conditions can interfere with the process of photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration, and absorption of water and nutrients in hydroponic cayenne pepper plants. Therefore, this research aims to inspect and determine precise formulations for sustainable agricultural processes by utilizing information and communication technology within the framework of a smart system. So that the results achieved are the creation of artificial lighting technology that can provide optimal light in the intensity range of 100 to 6000 lux with a spectrum of 360nm to 760nm, measurable dissolved particles in water 1 to 1400 ppm, measurable air temperature around plants in the range of 19oC sd. 31oC along with air humidity which is between 64% to 95%, measured water temperature in the range of 17oC to 27oC, the formation of an information management platform that is useful for users. The utilization of smart system 4 layers technology integrated with instrumentation results is the first step in realizing smart indoor farming technology.
