Description
Summary:In world of work, it is inseparable from possibility of work accidents. Work accidents can be caused by the attitude of workers who are less concerned about OHS. In MSMEs, risk of work accidents is higher because of limited human and financial resources so implementation of OHS is lacking. Implementing OHS is important to apply, including MSMEs in Solokanjeruk District. However, there are several obstacles in implementing OHS, ranging from workers to work environment. In this research, evaluation of work environmental conditions in 9 MSMEs was carried out by measuring work climate parameters (ISBB), noise, lighting, PM2.5, and PM10, as well as evaluating the application of OHS and the potential for developing the application of OHS. This research was conducted with a quantitive research approach to examine the implementation of OHS based on work environmental conditions. The results show that there are problems with working environment conditions in MSMEs, namely noise that exceeds the NAB in MSMEs Convention-2 and Convention-3, dust concentrations that exceed the NAB in MSMEs Culinary-1, Culinary-2, Convention-1, Convention-2, Convention-3, Salted Eggs-2, and Cultivation, and inadequate lighting levels in MSMEs Culinary2, Culinary-3, Convention-1, Convention-3, and Cultivation. Then, there are problems in the application of OSH caused by a lack of OSH information and limited facilities and infrastructure. For this reason, it is necessary to develop the implementation of OHS based on the potential that exists in the work environment, starting from the use of PPE, administrative control, and engineering control. In addition, good housekeeping is recommended to be applied in all MSMEs because it is easy and cheap, to support cleanliness, comfort and reduce the risk of hazards in the workplace.
