Description
Summary:Bagong Dam is one of the dams in Trenggalek Regency, East Java Province. The Bagong Dam is planned to function not only as a source of raw water, but also as a flood controller, source of irrigation areas and has the potential to become a new tourism destination. One of the important construction processes for the Bagong Dam is diverting the river flow with diversion building consisting of diversion tunnel and cofferdam. The Bagong Dam is planned to start construction in 2018 and be completed in 2022 but is hampered by land acquisition which has delayed the construction schedule. Therefore, it is necessary to re-plan the design of the diversion building to adapt to the actual conditions in the field. Re-planning includes hydrological analysis based on the technical manual for flood discharge on dams and tunnel hydraulic analysis with the help of HY-8 software. From the calculation results, the dimensions of the planned tunnel with a circular section with a diameter of 6 m are 497 m long with a maximum outflow discharge of 220.27 m3/s and a maximum flood water level elevation of +274.09 m. The dimensions of the cofferdam were selected as a sloping core zonal type with a slope of 1:4 and the top of the cofferdam at an elevation of +276 m. The draft budget for the diversion building is around IDR 87.18 billion.
