One way to achieve harmony within a plural society is through a multicultural society aided by community enrichment. To achieve this, there is a need for social and cultural empowerment of the communities. Public facilities, such as cultural centers, are expected to create spaces that promote, preserve, and enrich Semarang's cultural heritage, especially in terms of diversity. They should also serve as social hubs for various ethnic and religious groups in Semarang. Interior design based on eclecticism can be an educational effort and a visual reflection of Semarang's culture and history. Through an eclectic approach, cultural centers strive to cultivate empathy and understanding of the importance of multiculturalism in Semarang's society. text |
