As the capital of Central Java Province with a high population density, Semarang serves as a hub for economic, cultural, and educational activities in the region. This coastal city embraces cultural diversity from various groups, including Javanese, Chinese ethnic, Arab Muslim influences, and Dutch colonial heritage. Therefore, the qualitative method used in this study is a literature review accompanied by field surveys. One way to achieve harmony within a plural society is through a multicultural society aided by community enrichment. To achieve this, there is a need for social and cultural empowerment of the communities. Public facilities, such as cultural centers, are expected to create spaces that promote, preserve, and enrich Semarang's cultural heritage, especially in terms of diversity. They should also serve as social hubs for various ethnic and religious groups in Semarang. Interior design based on eclecticism can be an educational effort and a visual reflection of Semarang's culture and history. Through an eclectic approach, cultural centers strive to cultivate empathy and understanding of the importance of multiculturalism in Semarang's society. text
