IDENTIFICATION THE IMPACT OF JAKARTA-BANDUNG HIGHSPEED RAIL (KCJB) ON TOURIST VISITS TO THE BRAGA AREA IN BANDUNG CITY

As part of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024, one of the main infrastructure projects is the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (KCJB). The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (KCJB) is scheduled to start operating on October 17, 2023. This study aims to identify the increase in the number of visits and changes in the pattern of tourist visits to the Braga area, as well as the benefits of the construction of the KCJB for the Braga area, one of the popular heritage tourist locations in Bandung City. The data collection method used is a Revealed Preference Survey which was distributed to 115 respondents offline at Halim Station and online using social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Line. The research method used is quantitative descriptive analysis, gap analysis and Wilcoxon test. Variables included in the questionnaire include socio-demographic characteristics and characteristics of tourism travel patterns. The results of the study show that the KCJB has had a positive impact on tourist visits to the Braga area. This can be seen from the change in the characteristics of tourist travel patterns before and after the existence of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (KCJB). Some of the benefits after the operation of the KCJB are that the increasing number of tourists will boost the image and popularity of the Braga area. To ensure seamless connectivity between Stasiun Tegalluar Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail and the popular Braga area in Bandung, collaboration with local transportation providers is crucial to establish feeder bus or shuttle bus services.
