Description
Summary:Population dynamics models are used to understand and predict changes in the composition and size of a species' population over a given period. In the model for population dynamics with age structures, ages can be seen as either discrete or continuous. This final project focuses on discrete and continuous linear models. A discrete linear model is constructed using a Leslie matrix model. A stable age distribution can be sought by pre-determining the dominant eigenvalues of the formed Leslie matrix. A continuous linear model is built using a McKendrick model and is solved using characteristic methods.
