The rate of degradation was determined by monitoring the remaining concentration of lincomycin hydrocloride in the solution by high performance liquid chromatography and microbiology. It was shown that high performance liquid chromatography gave a better result than microbiology method. The kinetic of degradation test showed that lincomycin hydrocloride at pH 1.2 and 3 was not influenced by pepsin, while at pH 2 the rate of degradation of lincomycin hydrocloride was increased. text
