Using shading and layering techniques with a ballpoint pen, this work presents imaginative mythological creatures that function as symbols of human uniqueness. The creative process begins with in-depth research on symbolism in art, sketching, and selecting visuals that represent the intended concepts. References from mythology and artists like Brian Froud and Kaname Fujioka are utilized to support the creation of these creatures. This work employs the theory of fine arts as representation and symbolism to depict how humans, as creations of God, possess unique potentials that are often forgotten. The research findings indicate that a symbolic approach in drawing can be an effective medium for conveying moral and spiritual messages about the importance of self-appreciation and awareness of human uniqueness. Thus, this work not only serves as an artistic expression but also as a tool for personal reflection and self-development text |
