Description
Summary:The increasing potential of the batik industry in Indonesia has a positive side from an economic point of view, but has a negative impact on the environment due to the lack of batik wastewater treatment. One of the processing processes is the pH neutralization process. The pH characteristics of the waste used is 9.5. The pH neutralization process is needed so that the waste produced meets the applicable waste quality standards. The pH neutralization process can be controlled using Model Reference Adaptive Control. Model identification and control simulation are carried out with a digital twin approach by acquiring data using ThingSpeak. ThingSpeak receives sensor data readings of the pH neutralization system using the ESP32 microcontroller. Data acquisition of pH, flow rate, and temperature sensor readings has been carried out from the pH neutralization plant of a laboratory-scale batik wastewater treatment with help of ESP32 to ThingSpeak on two ThingSpeak channels with ID 2348886 and 2348893. In the implementation of an openloop with a waste pH of 9.5 and an acetic acid neutralizer, the identification result parameters are obtained using a first-order model with time delay in the form of a gain (K) of 2512, a delay time value (????????) of 43 seconds, and a time constant (?) of 71.89 seconds. The results of MRAC adaptive control design and implementation closeloop using a reference model with a time constant 40% smaller than the openloop time constant. The steady-state time of the closeloop system is 51.4% faster than that of the openloop system with adaptation parameter values ????1 of 20 and ????2 of 310. A digital twin for the pH neutralization plant of a laboratory-scale batik wastewater treatment has been built that is capable of performing data acquisition via internet network to ThingSpeak, openloop simulation of the system, system model identification, and system control simulation with changes in adaptation parameters.
