Summary: | This thesis aims to develop a comprehensive Business Continuity Strategy (BCS) for Ore Flow and Fixed Plant Division at PT Freeport Indonesia. The study addresses the critical need for maintaining continuous operations amidst potential disruptions by integrating principles of sustainability and resilience. Utilizing Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessment, the research prioritizes critical facilities and identifies high-impact risks specific to the mining environment. The analysis identified essential facilities such as the Mahaka Lime Plant, GBC Mine Ore Flow, GBC Pumping Station, and several other facilities as critical for operational continuity.
Key findings highlight the importance of enhancing organizational capacities to respond, monitor, learn, and anticipate disruptions. The tailored approach of this BCS considers the unique operational context of Ore Flow and Fixed Plant Division, addressing internal and external risks such as equipment failure, system failures, and supply chain disruptions. The proposed strategies align with PT Freeport Indonesia's sustainability and long-term growth goals, supporting the broader corporate objective of responsible and sustainable mining practices. Implementing these strategies will enhance the operational resilience and sustainability of PT Freeport Indonesia's mining operations, contributing to longterm reliability and growth.
