Description
Summary:PT Makmur Artha Sejahtera (MAS) is one of the companies under the Makmur Group, specializing in the production of various fruit-flavored jelly foods and beverages. As a company operating in the food and beverage industry, PT MAS has obtained distribution permits from BPOM and halal certification from MUI. In its production process, PT MAS applies the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). However, PT MAS aims to expand the scope of their food safety standards by implementing ISO 22000:2018. Several of PT MAS's distributors, both local and international, require evidence of higher food safety standards, specifically ISO 22000:2018. Additionally, PT MAS seeks this certification to broaden their product marketing reach to the global market. Therefore, this research is conducted to assist the company in designing a food safety management system based on ISO 22000:2018. The research involves identifying business processes, food safety implementation, and documented information. It then identifies the fulfillment of existing requirements according to ISO 22000:2018 clauses to determine which clauses the company has not yet met in terms of processes and documentation. The research findings indicate that from clause 4 to clause 10, the compliance rates are 50%, 50%, 33%, 70%, 65%, 28%, and 66%, respectively. The company still has 21 clauses unfulfilled in terms of documentation. Based on these findings, adjustments are necessary, including the design of proposed documents to meet these clause requirements. Proposed document designs include a food safety management system manual, a prerequisite program (PRP) manual, and 8 additional procedures. These adjustments aim to enhance PT MAS's compliance with ISO 22000:2018 certification requirements..
