Given Indonesia's status as the world's second-largest aquaculture producer, this research evaluates various provinces based on key criteria such as land potential, biosecurity requirements, productivity, access to essential services, and stakeholder engagement. Employing the Analytical SMART process, which combines the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), this study systematically assesses several suitable regions in Indonesia. The findings indicate that Kalimantan Timur exhibits significant advantages in terms of available potential and biosecurity policy, while Sumatera Utara excels in productivity and access to services. These insights provide a strategic foundation for Giantree, a startup focused on sustainable aquaculture, to make informed decisions about site selection, ultimately contributing to the growth and competitiveness of Indonesia's aquaculture industry. The research underscores the importance of integrating technological advancements and strategic planning to optimize resource utilization and ensure long- term viability in shrimp farming operations. text |
