Scientific knowledge is obtained by systematic and structured research methods. In the 21st century, science and technology are experiencing very rapid development. The results of the study show that educational methods that use social media as a tool of science communication are very relevant for students in this era. In addition, the results of a scientist's research are often only stored in scientific journals or submitted in academic forums. Even though the brilliant ideas produced need to be conveyed to the community so that they can be implemented. Therefore, efforts are needed to "ground" science so that it can be reached by the wider community. This study wants to show the impact of science communication on students' level of understanding through the science experiments presented. Science experiments carried out in the laboratory are packaged in the form of videos, and then delivered to the intended high school students. The science experiment that will be communicated to students is BCNO phosphorus material that is able to change the wavelength of light emitted by LEDs, from blue to white. Sumber material BCNO menggunakan urea sebagai sumber nitrogen (N), asam borat sebagai sumber boron (B), dan asam sitrat sebagai sumber karbon (C). BCNO material sources use urea as a source of nitrogen (N), boric acid as a source of boron (B), and citric acid as a source of carbon (C). The process of making BCNO with simple heating. BCNO material is sprinkled on top of the blue LED so that it produces a white LED light. The voltage measurement results show that the forward bias voltage value on blue LEDs is 1.85 V, while on blue LEDs coated with phosphorus (turning white) is 2.27 V. Next research is to communicate these experiments to the specified students. Through this research, it can be concluded that social media is very effective in sharing science content with high school students. text
