Description
Summary:This study addresses the multifaceted challenges faced by Indonesian higher education lecturers who are required to balance teaching, research, and community service while pursuing doctoral degrees. These responsibilities present significant challenges to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, impacting their well-being and professional performance. This research investigates the impact of behavior-based and cognition-based interventions on the consequences of work-life balance of these lecturers, focusing on work-related, nonwork-related, and stress-related outcomes. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 116 lecturers via a questionnaire. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that behavior-based interventions significantly enhance work-related, nonwork-related, and stress-related outcomes. Conversely, cognition-based interventions significantly improved work-related and nonwork-related outcomes but did not have a statistically significant impact on stress-related outcomes. The findings underscore the need for higher education institutions to provide flexible schedules, targeted professional development programs, and mental health services to support lecturers. These measures can enhance lecturers' well-being and job performance, promoting a healthier work-life balance.
