Description
Summary:The home or domestic realm is a place to feel comfortable and safe. Unfortunately this condition is not for everyone. For some people, the domestic realm actually creates a feeling of discomfort and security. Therefore, public space was chosen as another alternative based on the consideration that there are no threats when it comes to expressing oneself, developing oneself and optimizing oneself. This work explores the issue of the relationship between parental education patterns which influence an individual's sense of security in the domestic sphere which results in a search for alternatives in the public sphere. This shows how feeling comfortable and safe is necessary to develop one's potential. The author then creates a work that responds to familiar verbal words heard in the domestic sphere with text resulting from the thought process in the public sphere regarding that text. The author uses a psychological or non-physical approach to explore this problem. The symbolization of the problem above was adopted using a text that is familiar to hear in the domestic realm. The text is then responded to by the public's critical thinking, creating contrast using neon flex. The installation consists of 8 mannequins arranged in pairs. Each mannequin is surrounded by neon flex text and the mannequin is dressed in domestic and public space clothing.
