Those fires caused by small fire in escalator 4 that spread slowly in the first 10
minutes, but move up quickly in a matter of a few minutes later and develop
flashover. Scientists doing some research through simulation by using CFD. The
spread of fire reviewed based on hot gases flow that produced by fires. This research
review those simulation using Ansys Fluent on straight stairs. That flow are noncompressible, laminar and non-isothermal under the boussinesq approximation.
This research includes variation from 4 computational variables and 5 physical
properties that not considered by previous research. Results show all variables
affect Rayleigh–Bénard convection, which opposite with theory as 3 computational
variables and 1 physics variables shouldn’t affect Rayleigh–Bénard convection.
This research attempts to estimate when heat reach the top level of straight stairs.
