Description
Summary:The total number of goods that must be unloaded and loaded in Indonesia in 2023 has increased so that the quality of the maritime logistics and transportation system must also be considered, including PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN) Cakung. However, the Container Depot X is experiencing problems due to increase in Truck Round Time (TRT) which exceeded the set standards. This research is aimed at overcoming this problem by scheduling trucks to increase depot efficiency and minimize the average TRT. The research begins with determining the maximum truck quota that can wait at the depot using a simulation model. This parameter are selected based on the minimum TRT value derived from the simulation output. The truck quota becomes input for the integer linear programming (ILP) model to produce a daily truck arrival schedule by minimizing truck vendor’s expected costs which consist of transportation costs, demurrage, and waiting cost. The ILP optimization model looks for the optimal daily truck arrival time to fulfill each delivery order based on parameters in the form of demand per day, available truck capacity at each hour, and the maximum quota of trucks per hour that can be in the depot area. The optimal truck arrival schedule was obtained with truck vendor’s expected costs of IDR 57,040,357 and an average TRT of 36.00 minutes with a cost savings of 4.23% and time of 9.09% from existing conditions. The maximum truck quota is 13 trucks which is sensitive to the objective function and decision variables. The results of this research are also equipped with additional procedures that can be used by companies to implement this truck arrival scheduling system.
