PT ABC is a subsidiary of a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in information services, telecommunications and telecommunications networks in Indonesia. PT ABC is a subsidiary that acts as a training center (learning center) of one of the SOEs. There are several units within PT ABC. One of the units in PT ABC is Unit X. Several problems occur in Unit X. One of the problems identified is closely related to the lack of optimal project management. The lack of optimal project management is characterized by each subdivision having its own method of managing projects such as research flow, data storage, different documents, the absence of a system that integrates research management, and so on. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is a system used by companies to manage and integrate business processes in one integrated platform. The ERP system has the potential to reduce the problems experienced by Unit X above. Therefore, this research aims to design an ERP system in order to optimize projects at Unit X effectively and efficiently. The open source ERP system Odoo was chosen because it is in accordance with the conditions of the company which has limited costs. The ERP system design process uses the ERP adoption life cycle methodology and standard package. Then in the research methodology there are adjustments by referring to and ISO 31000: 2018 related to risk management. The ERP system design is based on the business processes that occur in Unit X by identifying problems then designing a proposed business process that has been verified with stakeholders. The designed ERP system utilizes modules in Odoo application, such as accounting, document, project, purchase, inventory, sign, employees, and approval. The prototype has gone through a validation stage by testing the success of the Odoo application in managing data and producing the desired output.The results of the ERP system design using Odoo application show that the ERP system can help Unit X in managing projects effectively and efficiently.
