INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/84008 The global textile industry is a continuously evolving field that presents various challenges for businesses operating in it. These challenges include rapidly changing fashion trends, rising consumer demand for sustainability and quality, and intense global competition. This research aims to enhance quality control at PT Logachan Tekstil, a textile manufacturer in Indonesia, through the application of the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. The investigation identifies the underlying causes of the escalating defects in polyester yarn production, which have resulted in a decrease in customer satisfaction and sales. Tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Charts, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) are implemented through a systematic methodology that encompasses the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control stages. Key findings highlight issues like inadequate training, inconsistent quality control practices, and equipment maintenance lapses. Proposed solutions include comprehensive quality control training, standardized inspection processes, advanced data analytics, and enhanced team communication. The originality of this study lies in integrating Lean Six Sigma with real-time data analysis to improve product quality and operational efficiency in the textile sector. Continuous improvement programs, customer feedback mechanisms, and regular audits are the primary recommendations to guarantee sustained quality and competitiveness. Addressing these challenges will enable PT Logachan Tekstil to enhance its market position, increase customer satisfaction, and achieve long-term operational excellence. text
