Summary: | PT XYZ is a medium-sized UMKM operating in the retail fashion industry,
established in 2015 in Bandung, West Java. PT XYZ began by selling bags, clothing,
and travel-related accessories. In its efforts to stay competitive in the market, PT
XYZ has implemented continuous improvement by integrating information systems
into its business processes. However, the company has faced challenges with its
warehouse preparing areas being consistently full. To address this issue, PT XYZ
initially carried out material planning (forecasting) using qualitative forecasting
techniques, relying on the production capacity of suppliers. This approach has led
to several negative impacts, including financial issues, warehouse overload, and
overstocking for the material itself.
The objectives of this study are to develop business KPI requirements, to outline
the data visualization needs that support information monitoring, and to create a
prototype dashboard tailored to PT XYZ’s information and data visualization
requirements.
This study employs forecasting with the help of Machine Learning using the
ARIMA method to assist in finished goods planning (forecasting). The study also
includes the development of a prototype dashboard design using a combination of
the Noetix and user-centric methods, following five main stages: plan and design,
requirement gathering, user-preference-based design, build and validate, deploy,
and maintain.
The prototype dashboard design, equipped with appropriate key performance
indicators for PT XYZ, which facilitate the planning of finished goods and material
requirement, thereby supporting financial stability, optimizing warehouse content
allocation, and ensuring stable inbound and outbound material conditions.
