Summary: | Technological developments have an important role in supporting the improvements of the quality
of public services delivered by the public sector and state-owned enterprises to the community.
Current technology that supports operations for the public sector and state-owned companies still
runs on traditional infrastructure which is still built on physical data centers. The government's
role in the echo of Industry 4.0 is to encourage digital transformation which will combine physical
and digital technology towards something in a way more efficient. This plan should be able to run
in line with the government's road map in developing technological advances that support
government operations. The adoption of cloud computing is still low, especially in the public sector
and state-owned companies, still leaving concerns and challenges in its implementation and use,
several non-technical factors also become obstacles for the government in using this technology,
problems such as data security, limited budget and internal resources, unclear government
regulations and the lack of vision from top leaders in the development of this technology are the
causes. This research provides an overview of resolutions for government agencies and stateowned enterprises, as well as technology providers in determining the best strategies that can be
implemented regarding the adoption of cloud computing in Indonesian industry. The author uses
several marketing and technology management frameworks such as PESTLE, Technology
Adoption Life Cycle, Technology Acceptance Model as well as SWOT and TOWS to get an
overview of the right strategy to provide ideas for the issues in this research. |
