To optimize fecal sludge as a BSF substrate, it is necessary to vary it by adding organic materials. In Kampung Beting, many pidada fruit, fish, and crab waste are produced. These wastes are utilized to make a fecal sludge mixture as a substrate for BSF. This study aims to determine the effect of mixing these organic wastes in fecal sludge treatment using BSF larvae on Waste Reduction Index (WRI), Efficiency of Conversion of Digested Food (ECD), and survival rate and to determine the possibility of heavy metal bioaccumulation in BSF larvae. The results showed that the best larval growth occurred when feeding fecal sludge mixed with fish offal with an average optimal weight of 7 – 9,3 grams/100 larvae. The highest WRI and ECD values were also shown in the fecal sludge and fish offal mixture feeding with values of 5,2% and 6,06%, while the highest survival rate was shown in the fecal sludge mixture treatment with all organic waste used at 95,6%. This study also tested the content of heavy metals Pb and Cd in the larvae accumulated from the fecal sludge, the measurement results showed that no bioaccumulation occurred. text
