In Indonesia, groundwater often serves as the primary source for drinking water, sanitation, household needs, industry, irrigation, mining, and urban areas. However, the quality and quantity of water are not always consistent, necessitating participatory management by the government and the community. Issues such as exploitation, land subsidence, water quality degradation, and groundwater crises require greater attention. This research aims to map groundwater quality and household-scale water treatment technologies in Bandung City. The study uses both quantitative and qualitative methods, with 226 groundwater samples and questionnaires from previous studies. Groundwater quality testing focused on three parameters: iron, manganese, and fluoride, using spectrophotometry. The results showed that 90% of the data exceeded the iron (Fe) quality standard, 44% exceeded the manganese (Mn) standard, and 91% exceeded the fluoride (F) standard. The quality standards used are listed in the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023. The research results are mapped to illustrate groundwater quality for each parameter in 30 districts in Bandung City, along with a map of water treatment technology usage by 29% of respondents who use it. The study also shows the relationship between groundwater quality and community behavior, such as water use for drinking, as well as the socio-economic status of respondents. The relationship between groundwater quality and water treatment technology usage was analyzed using cross-tabulation, showing that only 69.6% (iron quality) and 70.7% (manganese quality) of those with water quality above the standard have not yet used recommended treatment technologies. text |
