Description
Summary:Outsourcing of human resources is an activity carried out to meet the labor needs of a company through a contract agreement with a company that is engaged in the field of labor provision, such as company X. Labor data management becoming an important activity for company X. However, currently its labor management activity is inefficient, because of the rapid labor shifts, frequent recording errors, and data limitations for decision-making. With the problem tree analysis tool, several roots of the problem are found so the solution proposed by the author is to design a HR information system, an information system used to store and analyze the human resources data and information of a company. The design of the HR information system of company X is carried out using the prototyping methodology. This methodology is used because it is suitable for designing simple information systems and involving users actively in the design process. The prototyping methodology consists of five stages: determine requirements, analyze alternatives, specify design, implement design, and user review. This phase is then repeated continuously until the specified number of iterations is met. This research produced two types of prototypes of the HR information system. The first type is the wireframe, a low-fidelity prototype because it focuses only on showing a simple layout of the elements in the system. Wireframe is used for the second type, the user interface prototype, designed by the programming team. User interface prototypes represent interfaces in detail by involving functional aspects and considering aesthetic factors so that they resemble the final product. This user interface prototype designed based on the user’s needs so it can be used by company X as the basis for building a HR information system to support various company X’s labor management activities.
