INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/84217 The Soekarno Hatta – Gedebage intersection is one of the intersections located on the road network connecting the Gedebage area with other areas. The rapid growth of generation and attraction accompanied by the growth of traffic towards the Gedebage area makes this intersection a center point of congestion. The data used is field survey data for 1 day on weekdays which is then modeled with VISSIM software on existing conditions and alternative handling to compare delays, queue lengths and the level of service of the intersection. The results of this study obtained traffic performance in existing conditions showing large delay values on the North and South arms caused by the small ratio of green time on both arms. On the other hand, the performance of the intersection during existing conditions shows small queue length values on the East and West arms due to the larger traffic volume and composition of Light Vehicle vehicles compared to the other two arms. Then 3 alternatives are proposed, namely optimizing the cycle time of 197 seconds, changing the cycle time to 157 seconds, and adding phases. The alternative with the most optimal value that can be applied to the intersection is changing the cycle time to 157 seconds with a percentage decrease in the delay value of 23.62% and the queue length value of 25.60%. text
