Summary: | The Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management program is one of the Study
Programs at the Bandung Institute of Technology. As an educational institution, this
program certainly needs to control the quality of its students. One way to do this is to obtain
standards from an accredited institution recognized nationally and internationally. This
Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management Study Program currently has
problems with the information system used for the GLO assessment process for its students.
One of the symptoms of this problem is the frequent complaints from lecturers and teaching
staff about the use of the information system. Therefore, a new web-based information system
was developed with the aim of facilitating the GLO assessment process.
To ensure that the newly developed information system meets user needs and the web-based
application project for the accreditation assessment system is completed within the planned
timeframe, the prototyping method is used. This method is used to observe the overall
information system design. In its implementation, prototyping is divided into several phases,
starting from wireframe to more detailed design focusing on aspects of the system's
functionality. Before entering the prototyping phase, user needs are gathered to find out who
will use the information system and what their needs are in the GLO assessment process. To
that end, user personas, user stories, user flow, user interface tree, and wireframe prototypes
were created. The software used in this design includes draw.io, Miro, and Figma.
Through the design stages that have been carried out, a design solution was produced to
meet the functional requirements of users in the form of a mixed-fidelity prototype, namely
a wireframe. The wireframe was created for the six user roles in the web-based system to be
built, namely the Head of the Study Program, the Head of the GKM Team, lecturers,
administrative staff, superadmins, and students. This wireframe design will then be
continued to the application development stage to be fully functional by the programming
team.
