The Bandung Train Station is a historical landmark that has stood for over a century’s old, ever since its construction on 17th of May 1884. Many events have the Bandung Train Station witnessed, the colonial era, the independence struggle, until present. The station however has been a silent witness for many events that took place around it. <br /> <br /> <br /> At the begining there was just an empty land lot, but ever since the construction of the station it has been bringing change. The main function of the station is a mean of transportation that assist the circulation of people from one place to another. There for, many motels, restaurants and shopping center are erected around the station. All that made the stasion as a center of activity. <br /> <br /> <br /> The stations influence doesn’t only happen on its suroundings, but also inside of the stations itself there was changes or transformation, from it facilities and also its behaviour of the people within it, The Bandung Train Station keeps on developing following the needs of its users. <br /> <br /> <br /> From the cultural side, the station is a gateway for variants of people from many areas to enter different areas, that have different cultural values. The stations can be considered as a cultural gateway, where we can put the traditional image to the stations building.
