The study begins by establishing a baseline for emissions and cost levels associated with conventional diesel-powered CTTs, based on historical data and current operational conditions at TTL. Through a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), the research quantifies the environmental impacts, including emissions of CO2, NOx, and particulate matter (PM), across the lifecycle of the CTTs. Following the LCA, the study evaluates the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for three electrification scenarios: diesel AGV, battery-swapped AGV, and hybrid AGV. The TCO analysis incorporates environmental costs derived from the LCA findings, providing a holistic view of the financial implications over a 16-year horizon. The economic benefit analysis, including a Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), is then conducted to assess the potential returns and overall feasibility of the proposed electrification scenarios. The results indicate that the battery-swapped AGV scenario significantly reduces TCO compared to the baseline, while also achieving the highest emission reductions. The hybrid AGV scenario, although slightly increasing the TCO, offers a balanced approach between operational advantages and environmental benefits. The diesel AGV scenario presents a modest financial advantage with marginal TCO reduction but offers less environmental benefit. The study concludes by recommending that PT Pelindo Terminal Teluk Lamong prioritize investment in battery-swapped AGVs due to their strong potential for both cost savings and emission reductions. It also suggests a gradual integration of hybrid AGVs to balance operational and environmental goals. The research emphasizes the importance of strategic partnerships and exploring funding avenues to support the initial capital expenditure required for electrification initiatives. Additionally, it highlights the need for infrastructure preparation, including the upgrade of charging stations and the incorporation of renewable energy sources, as foundational steps in the electrification roadmap. text |
