Local governments, especially at the provincial level, still depend on regional tax revenues to finance their development, including West Java Province. The birth of Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning Central and Regional Financial Relations makes provinces no longer dependent on regional taxes because the percentage of regional tax revenue distribution has become larger to districts/cities. One of the alternative sources of income is the use of regional assets. The Al Jabbar Grand Mosque is one of the assets owned by the West Java Provincial Government that has the potential to be utilized. This study aims to examine the management of regional assets in the supporting area of the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque, West Java Province, with a focus on optimizing the use of assets to increase managerial effectiveness and generate revenue. The method used is qualitative descriptive, which includes an in-depth analysis of aspects of asset management and identification of existing problems. The results of the study show that the management of Regional Property (BMD) related to the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque has not reached an optimal level. The analysis shows that current asset management does not meet the required standard criteria. The main findings of this study identify three main issues in the asset management of the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque: (1) high maintenance costs of the mosque, (2) supporting assets that have not been utilized optimally, and (3) overlap in asset management. These issues result in significant management problems and demand fundamental improvements in the asset management system. This study concludes that asset management in the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque area is still far from ideal, and recommends improving management strategies to overcome existing problems by increasing utilization with the Utilization Cooperation scheme, maintenance efficiency by means of building management and management is handed over to non-profit institutions or foundations.
