INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/84491 Based on the perspective of the tourism sector, Lembang District is one of the regions with tourist attractions that are favored by local, national, and international communities. The presence of the Lembang Fault line passing through Lembang District has drawn the attention of researchers regarding the potential for earthquakes and the hazards posed by the activity of the Lembang Fault earthquake. This earthquake potential can threaten tourists visiting the area, making it necessary to review strategies for enhancing disaster preparedness among tourists in facing the Lembang Fault earthquake. Previous studies often discussed strategies for improving disaster preparedness among local communities. This study seeks to identify strategies for enhancing preparedness specifically aimed at tourists in the Northern Bandung Area, in this case, Lembang District. The research results show that local government and private sector elements as managers of tourist destinations have not yet made efforts to improve preparedness among tourists visiting Lembang District. Efforts made by local government elements, in this case, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the Tourism and Cultural Office of West Bandung Regency, have so far been implemented for tourist destination managers through Technical Guidance for workers at tourist destinations. Although some tourists are aware of the existence of the Lembang Fault and the potential hazards it poses, strategies need to be developed to reduce the impact felt by tourists. The strategies offered in this study include socialization of the types and functions of disaster data, providing information on self-rescue tips through interactive media for tourists at tourist destinations, and optimizing the provision of facilities and infrastructure for disaster evacuation. This research is expected to be a consideration for policy development in the tourism sector, especially disaster-safe tourism. text
