Summary: | Mount Puntang tourism area is a premier tourist destination located in Bandung Regency, West Java. This study aims to identify potential hazards and formulate recommendations for risk reduction in the Healing forest activities planned for Wana Wisata Gunung Puntang, Bandung Regency. Hazard identification methods were conducted through interviews with the management and analyzed using UNEP (2008), as well as mapped using Arc-GIS 10.4.1. The identified hazards in the area include physical hazards such as slope steepness and landslide susceptibility. Biological hazards include faunal parameters such as the long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis), Malayan pit viper (Calloselasma rhodostoma), and wild boar (Sus scrofa), as well as floral parameters such as large sensitive plant (Mimosa pudica L.), nodeweed (Synedrella nodiflora), sessile joyweed (Alternanthera sessilis), and culantro (Eryngium foetidum). Hazard management in the tourist area has been conducted by the management through the installation of signs, patrols and monitoring, fire prevention, and the provision of accident insurance. Risk reduction recommendations at Wana Wisata Gunung Puntang include accepting risks associated with slope steepness, wildlife, and vegetation. Consequently, this study contributes to enhancing safety and sustainability of tourist activities in the area. |
