Description
Summary:DKI Jakarta, as the central business district in Indonesia, has experienced a significant increase in demand for transportation services, especially on the Kereta Rel Listrik (KRL). The addition of KRL trains and travel frequency is carried out to increase passenger transportation capacity. This step has an impact on increasing the workload of operating facilities, especially signaling systems. The reliability of the signaling system is very important in maintaining the smooth operation of KRL. Currently, the reliability value targeted by the company is very high, which is 99.68%. Based on the performance evaluation report, there are still disruptions in the signaling system, especially in the Electrical Signal Equipment (PDSE) which functions to control the movement of KRL, provide information about track conditions, and ensure safety operations so that the target reliability value has not been achieved. This research aims to improve the current inspection program to increase the reliability of PDSE components in the Daop 1 Jakarta area. The stages carried out are reliability and risk analysis to understand the level of performance of the signaling system and potential hazards due to signaling system failure. The inspection program proposed in this study involves engineering in the form of changing the inspection time interval on signaling equipment. The results of the inspection program obtained an increase in the reliability value of one of the Elixs systems from 66.41% to 99.74% with an additional inspection cost of Rp. 2,772,445,956.00 or 469% of the previous inspection cost. In addition, a decrease in the risk level of each PDSE component failure mode such as module damage and equipment programming errors is obtained so that it falls into the tolerable criteria with an additional inspection cost of Rp. 1,145,570,526 or 94% of the previous inspection cost but the additional cost is considered more rational in order to reduce the potential loss of revenue caused by operational disruption of trains and KRLs due to damage to signaling equipment, which is estimated to reach Rp. 3,322,581,652.00.
