Lemongrass has good growth and adaptability in sub-optimal environmental conditions. Oil palm empty fruit bunches are organic waste that can be used as an alternative material to improve soil characteristics. This research aims to analyze the effects of organic material from oil palm empty fruit bunches, cow manure, and their combination. Growth observations were conducted over 10 weeks after planting (WAP) with growth parameters including plant height, leaf length, and the number of shoots. Physical soil data sample properties were carried out by taking intact soil samples using a core sampler in the area before and after planting to determine changes in the parameters of soil bulk density, total soil porosity, and soil moisture content. Meanwhile, for observations of soil chemical properties, composite soil samples were taken after planting. Soil sample testing was conducted at the Agricultural Laboratory of Padjadjaran University for soil physical properties and at the Agricultural Laboratory of Mulawarman University for soil chemical properties. The research results for the three treatments showed no significant differences, with the highest average plant height is 123,44 cm, the longest average leaf length is 90.58 cm, and the highest average number of tillers are 39.67. For the soil physical properties parameters, the best treatment resulting of a soil bulk density of 1.03 g/cm³ and a total soil porosity of 61.3%. As for soil moisture content, no significant differences were found, with the highest average result is 37.6%. text
