Description
Summary:The Postpartum Care Center design project emerged as a response to the deep concern for the well-being of postpartum mothers in Indonesia. The background of the project includes considerations of the large population of postpartum mothers and the common occurrence of baby blues among them. The influence of social and cultural factors is also a primary concern in the care and mental health of postpartum mothers in Indonesia. The design methods used include literature studies, case studies on postpartum care in various countries, precedent studies, and surveys involving mothers who have given birth and medical professionals. The design approach adopted is a "healing environment" aimed at optimizing the psychological healing of mothers. Research findings indicate a significant need for postpartum care facilities among the Indonesian population. The effective and comprehensive design of these facilities integrates the functions of healthcare, hospitality, wellness, and community. The healing environment approach is optimized through a design that supports mental health, such as natural lighting, good ventilation, access to natural scenery, and the use of natural elements in interior design. Zoning and spatial layout are designed to facilitate circulation and orientation, ensuring comfort and privacy. This facility is expected to be an effective solution to enhance the mental and physical health of postpartum mothers and promote the overall well-being of the community.
