Description
Summary:Cirebon Waters holds a lot of potential in it, including being a place where community activities take place around the waters. This potentials are still not optimized due to the limited information about the environmental conditions in Cirebon Waters. The information about the conditions in Cirebon Waters is very crucial to understand in order to develop the area, but the information about water parameters is currently limited, especially the parameter of turbidity. The measurement of water quality can be done by directly measuring the water condition. However, direct measurement is considered to require extra work and cost, so the development of a midi secchi disk and HydroColor app is expected to implement oceanographic studies in the community around Cirebon Waters. The minimalism of the midi secchi disk and the convenience of accessing the tool, as well as the advancement of technology that allows easy access to the HydroColor application, are expected to be one of the ways to collect seawater quality data. In this study, the accuracy of the two tools will be assessed by comparing the electronic sensor data. The results showed that in Cirebon Waters turbidity ranged from 1,6- 3,6 FTU. In this study, two scenarios were conducted to find the correlation between parameters, with the first scenario combined all the data and the second scenario separate the study area into nearshore and offshore areas, resulting in different relationships from the two scenarios. The development of midi secchi disk and HydroColor needs to be done further by considering some adjustments to develop science in the community.
