Summary:East Sumba Regency is famous for its tourist destinations, which increase the number of local and foreign tourists to East Sumba Regency. The increase in demand at the airport needs to be facilitated because it affects people's income, which ultimately affects the social and economic aspects ofthe East Sumba district. The design of Umbu Mehang Kunda Airport, East Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, consists of several aspects, which are transportation engineering; structural engineering; soil engineering; water resources engineering; and construction management. The design is inspired by architectural design, which consists of airside facilities bounded on the apron. As well as the design of landside facilities, which are limited to passenger terminals, parking lots, and other complementary facilities. In the field of transportation engineering, we will discuss the method of designing the geometry and pavement of the apron, determining the need for the passenger terminal area and other complementary facilities, designing the flow of movement, and designing the parking lot pavement. In the field of structural engineering, it will discuss the method of determining materials, determining project specifications, determining design criteria, defining loading, preliminary design, designing structural elements, checking performance, and making detailed drawings of the design results. In the field of geotechnical engineering, the method of soil improvement design, substructure design, embankment, and excavation design will be discussed. In the field of water resources engineering, the method of drainage design and processing of rainwater harvesting will be discussed. In the field of construction engineering management, the method of estimating construction costs will be discussed. The results of this design are in the form of technical drawings, material and construction specifications, and quality control methods in the implementation of construction.
