Summary: | In an increasingly digital world, efficiency and ease of transactions have become
crucial for delivering a satisfying user experience. Currently, Yellow Fit Kitchen,
one of the largest brands providing diet program menus, uses WhatsApp for
ordering and consultations, while their website provides information. However,
users often face difficulties in completing the ordering process due to the need to
switch between WhatsApp and the website. Moreover, inconsistencies in
information between the two platforms and unclear ordering processes reduce the
overall effectiveness and efficiency of the ordering system. This issue highlights
the urgent need for better interaction design.
With the rapid growth of mobile applications, this study aims to offer a
solution by designing a mobile application for ordering diet programs at Yellow Fit
Kitchen that integrates the functionalities of both WhatsApp and the website. The
method used in this research is user-centered design, which prioritizes user needs
to ensure that the application provides functionalities and features that meet their
expectations.
The application development process began with analyzing user needs and
problems through literature reviews and questionnaires. This was followed by the
design of low-fidelity and high-fidelity frontend interfaces, culminating in
evaluation and testing. The application prototype was developed for customers,
potential customers, and Yellow Fit Kitchen stakeholders, excluding the
administrator side. The usability goals targeted include effective to use, efficient to
use, having good utility, and easy to learn. Meanwhile, the user experience goals
include being helpful and satisfying. Evaluation was conducted using metrics to
measure these six criteria, such as task completion rate, number of errors, time on
task, satisfaction rate, Single Ease Question (SEQ) method, Intrinsic Motivation
Inventory (IMI), and System Usability Scale (SUS). These measurements have
shown improvements in usability and user experience values through two iterations
of testing. |
