Description
Summary:Information and Communication Technology (ICT) carbon footprint measures the total carbon dioxide produced using ICT equipment. ICT's contribution to the global carbon footprint has increased significantly in the age of digitalization. The Indonesian government has issued regulations urging organizations to have a carbon inventory to store carbon data and conduct carbon calculations. However, currently, no application can facilitate the needs of the ICT sector. In this project, an application that can facilitate the needs and predict future carbon emissions is developed. The calculation of ICT carbon footprint is conducted by referring to the document “ICT Sector Guidance built on the GHG Protocol Product Life Cycle Accounting and Reporting Standard" by the GHG Protocol. Carbon emissions are calculated using activity data, the number of assets owned by the organization, and device power. The carbon emission prediction model utilized is the Support Vector Regression (SVR) Linear. This model has an accuracy level of 0.94. The results of emission calculations and predictions show a linear increase from month to month. This application has been tested for 100% of its functionalities through unit and system testing.
