Therefore, there are plans regarding the optimization of public transport through the transformation of 'angkot' into microbus through Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD) Kota Bandung 2018 – 2023. This transformation aims to encourage people to shift from private vehicles to microbus as public transportation. The transformation of 'angkot' into microbus will lead to a mode choice between microbus and the existing modes of transportation. The survey method used in this study is a stated preference survey. The mode choice is then modeled using a binomial logit model in the form of a linear equation from a parametric regression process to predict and understand the characteristics of mode choice between existing modes and microbus, affected by four variables: travel time, waiting time (headway), user age, and user’s trip frequency. From the parametric statistical tests conducted, the chosen model explains only 5.1% of mode choice characteristics, with all four variables significantly affecting the mode utility values. Travel time emerges as the most significant variable influencing mode choice. Additionally, travel time are also quite sensitive in determining mode choice between microbus and existing modes. text |
