Its geographical conditions cause the interaction between the sea and the coast to be intense. Observations on the level of vulnerability of coastal districts located on Papua Island were carried out using the Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI) method to determine how vulnerable Papua Island is due to the interaction between the sea and its coast. The Coastal Vulnerability Index method is reviewed from physical parameters in the form of coastal slope, wave height, coastal geomorphology, tidal range, sea level rise, and erosion and accretion rates. The length of the coastline in each district/city in sequence is Mamberamo Raya 286,309 km (3.77%), Sarmi Regency 10,622 km (0.14%), Jayapura City 22,714 km (0.3%), and Merauke 191,361 km (2.52%). text
